The Drinks at MOBAR
So Gastropub has to have a brilliant cocktail menu + food. I am being very honest here, but all the time I spent there trying their menu out, I was not disappointed even once! Their drinks are not the ordinary Mojitos/Martinis and Beer Pints, but much more than that, infused with the desi elements of India. To give it a more quirkiness, the drinks have been named differently, eg. Maanga, Red Riding Wood,etc.
Vodka, Aam Panna, Sweet Lime & Jeera salt.
Whiskey, Mandrin, Passion Fruit, Mint & Bitters.

I have never seen so much variety in starters to go with the drinks. It in itself is a main-course buffet. The menu is an intense amalgamation of the traditional Indian snacks, like a Maharashtrian Vadapav to a colorful twist of Flutterfly.
Calcutta inspired Bhetki Fish cutlets with Kasundi Mustard, Fennel seed and Mustard.
Paneer and Cheese cubes tossed with a mix of chili, herbs, onions and ginger; stuffed in crisp shells.
Stuffed mushroom caps with soft onions, feta cheese and herbs, served with slaw and balsamic reduction.
Tamarind and masala flavoured potato in fresh buns with sev, peanutes, pomegranate, fig & tamarind and garlic chutney
Spring rolls filled with cream cheese and mozzarella, green chili, capsicum, coriander and onion. Roasted garlic chili dip.
Pan-seared dumplings served with house special tomato chili sauce.
If you are not over starters, they have a splendid menu of main course to offer as well. You can simply chill back, sip a drink or two, play a foosball game and when your tummy grants, enjoy their scrumptious spread of Indian and Continental cuisine.
Ramen noodles, soft boiled egg, spicy sauce, crispy garlic and vegetables.
Freshly steamed bao stuffed with spicy mutton served with a rich mutton broth.
Monkey Bar takes it's menu very seriously. And that is why they haven't sidelined their desserts menu. As the chef presented these tempting platters right in front of us, my eyes sparkled with excitement and we all enjoyed tasting these yummy sweets like a group of overwhelmed school kids.
