The Resort Mumbai – Hotel Review

February 22, 2016

While many people consider Mumbai as an extremely busy and noisy city, the land of Bollywood has an otherwise peaceful side to it as well. Over the years, I have visited/stayed in Mumbai many times, but have never experienced a more relaxed and serene part of Mumbai till now. If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you’ll know that I recently visited Mumbai to attend an event and soak under the Mumbai’s winter sun. And while I was at it, The Resort Mumbai’s team invited me over to conclude my travel on a ‘vacation mode’.

Faces Canada Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayon

February 14, 2016

First things first. HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY everyone! Hope you are all having a fabulous time and for those who are looking forward to an amazing night out with the loved ones, here’s something that might come in handy. I still remember my early 20s, when I was newly introduced to the world of ‘lipsticks’. Any kind of lipstain for me meant *grown up* and I usually stayed way away from applying any kind of lippie for a random occasion. But when I started blogging and attending events, I did realise that a lipstick is kind of a necessity which comes in the basic category of doing make up. Although I did struggle a bit, getting used to the art of applying lipsticks; the confusion didn’t end at that. The biggest questions of all was ‘What shade to apply on your lips?’. Oh! And not to forget the variety of applicators and textures available in the market. So the whole process is not just limited to swiping a rich shade on the lips, but also about the consistency of the shade and how long will it last on your lips. Now it’s been more than 3 years of my experimentation with the lip colours. The struggle has been real. Of course with the given variety, but my bigger concern was finding the shades that will compliment any skin tone (screaming out Indian brown colour, out loud). Now a couple of months back, I visited Faces Canada’s Saket store, to try out some of their latest beauty additions. Faces Canada is one of those brands who do improvise on their colour palette, based on regions and requirements of a particular skin shade. So I have definitely felt confident applying shades from their lips range. One of their latest ranges consisted of Matte …

Valentines Day Treats To Himself

February 11, 2016

Articles getting churned out this week gotta be all about love. And by love I mean the mushy mushy couple love, because it is the time of the Valentine! But my agenda is slightly different from the general norm. I am celebrating, and giving reasons to celebrate, this week of love with not a partner; but yourself! Having already covered ‘Valentines Day Treats To Herself‘ in my previous feature, this one is dedicated to all the handsome dudes who have befriended solitude as their current hotness. Feel loved, lover boy! 1. Hit The Road Prolly something that every guy dreams of doing 24/7, is taking their automobile out for a drive. Either hit the highway to your nearest destination, or simply map out the country side for some sightseeing. Take it up with your group of friends, or go solo with your music list in check. Breathe in some fresh air and remember, YOU LIVE ONLY ONCE! 2. Attend A City Gig And do some ‘air head bangin’ moves while you’re at it. For the love of music and some alcohol on the side, google up the hot n’ happenin gigs this week in your city and book yourself an exclusive reservation. While committed men will be sipping soup over a romantic candlelit dinner, you’ll be letting yourself lose over some soul music and a bowl of cheese dripping nachos. 3. Get a Tattoo! Not the ones wherein your express the depressing solitude, or speaks about the memoirs of your ex’s history; but the ones that define your personality. Get inspired from Adam Levine or go David Beckham all the way, but get an ink to celebrate life! Note: You can try one of those temporary designs in case a tattoo still seems doubtful to you. This way you will realise if you …

Valentines Day Treats To Herself

February 9, 2016

The first half of February every year, is all about feeling loved or giving your unconditional love expressions to the one who matters. Social Network goes berserk with couples posting their most mushy mushy memories together, while singles cribbing about the love flood and debating about their #foreveralone lifestyle. But why is it that only the couples get to take the sweet cake away, leaving singles feeling love-less and low on esteem? This post is not dedicated to those who are celebrating the V-Day with their partners, but rather focuses on giving fabulous options to the singletons on how to rock the occasion with some self pampering parade. 1. Spa Goals Be it the tedious working hours that have kept you away from the dating scene, or the long overdue salon trip that needs to be checked off the list, go ahead and indulge in some therapeutic pampering at your nearest spa centres. Trust me, nothing is more orgasmic than soaking in a hot jacuzzi, sipping some Japanese tea and getting your facial done by a professional. Tattva Spa in Delhi offers an array of spa rituals that one can choose from. Also, they have this kickass home service, if you don’t want to get out of your house for a spa service. Their professionals drop by your house, with all the required equipments and provide the exact spa experience that you can experience at their official centres. Check out http://www.tooyoo.in/ 2. Pack A Gift Who doesn’t like unwrapping a gift, eh? Walk up to your favourite cosmetics counter, buy the out-of-budget EDT and some other skin care products, get them all wrapped and take several selfies expressing your happiness; while you’re at it. Nothing bigger than showing your love for self. I recommend Faces Canada for their amazing colour palette …

Ready Face With Clean And Clear

February 8, 2016

Dusky or Fair? Just Smile with your “Ready Face” Life is beautiful. Life is tough. And it is the toughest in the teenage years because then we do not know how to deal with it. Even as adults we do not. Yet in teenage i.e., this transitory phase from childhood to adulthood, we face some kind of issues which are unique only to this age. Like those related to our self perception, our identity, the societal norms and how we deal with them. In this post, we grapple with the idea of choosing between chasing a fair skin, or a ‘Clean and Clear’ natural skin irrespective of the skin shade. Here starts a journey to uncover our ‘Ready Face‘! “How do I look”, we often ask one another without realising how demeaning that phrase is. I am not against looking good. Of course wearing an over sized furry jacket must be avoided on a sunny afternoon! I am more concerned about discarding any issues with one’s own skin! I dream of a face that oozes with confidence, without having to care about what others think. My #ReadyFace is free from the pressure of society’s expectations. A #ReadyFace is jubilant and optimistic to face all kinds of challenges that life has to offer. As a product of our society, people of all ages, seem to be misguided about the idea of true beauty. Many still believe in the ridiculous idea that only fair is lovely! It is evident in matrimonial ads where people are claiming to have a fair skin tone, or demanding the same. It is palpable when at a family function an elderly relative comes to you and congratulates, with great satisfaction, that you look fairer today. And also, when elders advise children not to have tea and coffee …
