#AIWFWAW17 LookBook ft. VAJOR

March 24, 2017

Nothing can go wrong with a white shirt style. Period. And the versatility of this silhouette of androgynous style is such that you can flatter yourself wearing it in many different ways. Which is exactly what I experimented with at the Amazon India Fashion Week. Vajor.com happily agreed to be my style partners, sending over a box full of their stylish best and I simply grabbed the opportunity to stylise two looks for 2 days of the fashion week with just one embroidered white shirt from Vajor.com!

How did I do it? Taking the star of my OOTDs, a Crispy white Rayon Dobby Embroidered Button Down Shirt from Vajor.com I created to looks that can be worn for a casual day out, a weekend brunch and even a cocktail evening rendezvous.

LOOK 1

If you are looking for something comfortable yet structured, then balance the silhouettes well. The focus is on tucking the Embroidered White Shirt under a well fitted pair of denims, button up that collar and bedazzle it with a Turquoise Red Statement Necklace; finishing the look with a printed cover up and some more add-on accessories.

This look works great if you are going out for the movies or brunch with besties (Sans the statement necklace) or simply going on a weekend lunch date with your beau. Adding colourful elements to match the shirt brings out the summer feel and makes the overall look more vibrant to the eyes.

Speaking about the Beige & Mint Green Shrug from Vajor’s EARTHY QUIRK collection, the fit comes absolutely flawless, the earthy colour tones give a more soothing appeal and the Rayon Crepe fabric lets the body breathe even when worn for an entire day. The shrug comes with a tassled waist-ribbon to give more structure to the cover-up, but I prefer wearing it without it to give volumes to my overall structured look. If you are a plus size women with curves, go ahead and wear a well-fitted top & jeans combo and layer it up with this shrug for the perfect yet comfortable summer day style.

LOOK 2

If you prefer neat styles with no room for layering, then this look is the one for you. No melodrama of layers or intense colours, just a crisp look with volumised skirt and a tucked in White Embroidered Shirt. Works well for a Sunday Polo match meet, candlelight dinners and even a cocktail party.

Instead of making a statement with a heavy necklace, let the embroidery on the shirt dazzle up while you match it with this contemporary metallic Gold Greek handcuff and a pair of Anna Wintour sunnies.

What I really liked about this look was the fact that it had limited colour hues, minimalism towards accessories and easy flowing yet waist clinched silhouette for the perfect spring/summer vibes. The geeky hair bun adds on to the minimalism drama.
