‘Dine Like Royals’ at K3 JW Marriott Aerocity

March 22, 2018

Have you ever fancied being able to dine like royalty? What is the first thing that pops into your mind when I say ‘Dine Like Royals’? Is it lush and rich interiors and gold trimmed china to feast on? Have you ever thought that the term could mean so much more than just materialistic glamour? Well, K3 JW Marriott is amazingly brilliant at proving the same!

A feast fit for royalty is what I was showered with when I decided to step into this wonderful paradise! This inspiring concept by the K3 JW Marriott brings together the rich cuisine of Rampur, right from the kitchens of the Nawabs! Having teemed up with 3rd generation cooks from the royal kitchen itself, the 11-day festival is a paradise for anyone and everyone who wants to explore the rich cuisine of Rampur in its most authentic form!

Get ready to let your taste buds experience the best food one can be offered and allow yourself to be lulled into a food coma while you are here! Thanks to the beautiful dry spices that the brilliant Rampuri chefs use in their cooking, the food that comes out of their kitchen has an unparalleled brilliance to it! Some of their all time popular dishes have been the Mirchi ka Halwa, Tar Qorma and the Murg Sondha, and that is precisely what I was going to get to indulge in this time!

Drinks

I started my meal off with the Aam Ras and Rampur Punch and I could not have been happier about the choice I made! The Aam Ras was refreshing and sweet, while the Rampur Punch had a certain spicey undertone to it that was perfectly blended to form one of the best cocktails that I have ever had!

Appetisers

Ofcourse I had to try Murg Sondha next, I mean what kind of person would I be if I didn’t eat one of the most popular dishes of the Rampur cuisine? Having been allergic to the red meats, I shifted my interest towards the vegetarian starters and tried out the Mewa Mawa Shami Kebab. And trust me when I tell you that it was, hands down, one of the best vegetarian kebab dishes that I have ever had! I couldn’t help going for seconds!

Main Course

It was time for the main course now! I was enchanted by the buffet spread that was offered to me during the main course! From the Dal Khass, to the Murg Changcczi, everything was absolutely flawless. With my mindblowing experience trying out the vegetarian starter, I had to give the vegetarian main course and Boy! was I right, or was I right? I am not a big fan of the jackfruit, but their Kethal Korma could pass on the flavours of a succulent mutton korma without question.

Even the condiments and complimenting servings of rice and the bread were quite different from the usual rice and roti we are used to! Having been a fan of the Khameeri Roti with the white meats, it was my first choice, but on chef’s recommendation I did try out their signature Special Rampuri Haradhaniya Tandoori Roti which was soft and full of refreshing flavors.

Dessert

Having been generously fed the Rampuri starters and the maincourse to my heart’s content, I barely had space left in my belly to end the meal on a sweet note. But as everyone knows I have one helluva strong sweet tooth, and I literally cannot say no to a dessert. Although I was a bit disappointed to learn that they didn’t have Gosht Ka Halwa or the Mirch Ka Halwa on the day’s menu, I did decide to go with the Gullati, which is basically a dish akin to kheer and is made of khoya and milk among other secret ingredients. It really was a perfect end to the one of the best experiences that I have had yet!

I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who is truly looking for one of the most pampering, exquisite and royal dining experiences that they can ever come across! But remember, it only stays put till the 26th! You’d want to visit JW Marriott Aerocity Delhi this week, before the festival ends!
