Winter Skincare is definitely a challenge, especially when you reside in dry regions like Delhi where your skin tends to dry out and chap with just one breeze. Himalaya Herbals believes in the power of deep nourishment be it for any season. And to celebrate this cold season, the brand sent across a hamper of Winter Care Range my way. I definitely feel pampered and spoilt for choice.
It’s been approximately 2 weeks since I have started using Himalaya Herbals Winter Care Range and I have absolutely no complaints till now! To begin with, Himalaya Herbals Nourishing Lotions range is a must have product in your winter care kit.
Depending on the severity of the dryness, Himalaya Herbals offers 3 varieties of Body Lotions for the winter season. For those who care about the aromatherapy benefits of lotion application, Himalaya Herbals Soothing Body Lotion is the product. It consists of Grape Seed and Almond Oil to provide moisturisation and leaves a mild soothing fragrance that lingers on for an hour or so. If someone is looking for pure nourishment, then Himalaya Herbals Nourishing Body Lotion is the go to product. With the goodness of Aloe Vera Gel and Winter Cherry, this one is apt for people suffering from mild dryness. And for people belonging to dry regions and are in need of some sever moisturisation treatment, then Himalaya Herbals Cocoa Butter Intensive Body is the product to swear by. I have used Cocoa Butter Intensive Body Lotion last year as well and it surely stands out for its chocolatey fragrance and the moisturising goodness upon application.
The price tag is quite pocket friendly and the lotions are a great option for daily usage in comparison to the thick body butters that cost a bomb and their utility is limited and greasy upon usage.
Himalaya Herbals also offers a variety of Lip Care fragrances and consistency of the product. For those who have severely chapped lips, they have Natural Soft Vanilla Lip Care that has thick consistency and lingers on the lips for long. I usually apply this Lip Care before going to bed, so that my lips feel hydrated, minus chapping, the very next day!
For more glossy usage, they have Strawberry Shine Lip Care which is smooth to apply, is glossy and leaves behind a shine on your lips till it lasts. The fragrance is mild and it consists of 100% Natural Colour. I often use it as a tint for my lips for a casual day out.
The Himalaya Herbals Lip Care range is also associated with a great cause of gifting INR 2 on each purchase for Corrective CLEFT Surgery. So another reason to go ahead and invest in this product.
If Body Lotion is too light for your hydration-demanding skin, then try Himalaya Herbals Nourishing Skin Cream. It is thick in consistency, is light and non-greasy and leaves behind a quite refreshing fragrance upon application.
The ingredients consist of Aloe Vera which moisturises the skin, Winter Cherry which nourishes the skin and Indian Kino Tree which protects the skin from further damage.
I plan on using this product during more severe winters when a lotion won’t do.
And in case you are facing really harsh and dry winters with a serious SOS call needed to the hydration department, then Himalaya Herbals has introduced the Winter Defense Moisturizing Cream which is meant for dry and extra dry skin.
With the goodness of Jojoba Oil, Wheat Germ and Almond Oil, this body-butter consistency worth cream is similar in result to what you can expect from any body butter. Especially meant for the legs and feet, the cream is non-greasy and surely leaves the skin supple and hydrated for 12 hours straight.
One product-duo that I’ve been currently using religiously is Himalaya Herbals Clear Complexion Whitening Day Cream and the Revitalizing Night Cream for the winter season. I have been using this combo since the last 2 weeks and can conclude that both the products work out together in a great manner. My skin is a combination one with the T-Zone oily and is quite sensitive to the application of any new product. With these two face creams, I haven’t faced any acne breakout nor greasiness till now. My face surely stays moisturised and I haven’t felt the need to reapply any product to pat-moist the dryness on my face.
Himalaya Herbals Clear Complexion Whitening Cream is basically meant for reverse action of pigmentation and UV Protection. My pigmented area is a tough one and I have to use the product for a longer time to see any results on that, but one thing that I am happy about is that the cream provides UV protection, which doesn’t alarm me with the need to put on a sunscreen right post applying this product.
This product majorly consists of Licorice which fights dark spots and blemishes by inhibiting melanin synthesis and White Dammer which comes with the goodness of antioxidants. The fragrance is floral which doesn’t stay for long (which is good), the consistency is that of a water-based cream which means no-grease and the application is quite smooth and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin at all.
The Revitalizing Night Cream works in similar fashion and has basically been designed to restore moisture balance, nourishment and repair. I apply this cream every night post face cleansing and wash. The product is super light, non-greasy and makes your face feel soft and hydrated upon application. The effects of the product work 12 hours clock cycle as even after washing my face in the morning post waking up, my skin doesn’t shout the need of putting on a moisturiser immediately.
I am definitely happy with this duo-combo and hope that my skin will remain hydrated throughout the winter season.
