Art is everywhere. Be it in fashion, in make up, at a place, architecture or even architectural design. I have often come across fashion ‘mood boards’ and have read many articles on the ‘Trends Of The Season’. That’s what pretty much sums up my feed annually. But this time, I decided to venture into an area which boasts about art in the way we live. If you happen to be a fan of floral prints on your midi skirt, then you’ll equally fall in love with a particular set of Floral Sofa Chair Cum Ottoman.
India Design ID has been celebrating living artistically since half a decade now, which is why their 5th edition of the annual exhibition had to be a bigger and better expression of the whole concept. Right from collaborating with ELLE DECOR India and Sunil Sethi Design Alliance to hosting ID Symposium for the inspiring artists, this year’s 5th edition of India Design ID 2017 was a grandeur of excellence indeed.
Soaking up some inspiration to re-style my home and work space and of course, grabbing a few trends that I can adapt in my sphere of style, here’s a glimpse of design marvels that I came across at India Design ID 2017. Take a look!
The trends that caught my attention? Color blocking, Aztecs, Kitch, Metallic, Wild Flora and Oriental Patterns. The idea behind ID Exhibit is to bring forward best decor brands and eminent speakers from across the globe on one platform to celebrate design, creativity and aesthetics through installations and discussions. Commenting on the initiative, Gaurav Mashruwala, CEO, Ogaan Media Pvt. Ltd. says, “This year we celebrate 5 years of India Design ID and over this time period, it has not only become the country’s premier design celebration but has very effectively changed the definition of good design & architecture in India.”
The Decoration Pavilion included established names such as Arttd’inox, Apartment9, Antonio Lupi, Beyond Designs, K2India, Roca, BoConcept, Sarita Handa, The Pure Concept and Rational Kitchens by CJ Living to name a few. ELLE DECOR in association with Godrej Interio celebrates the art of design by holding a competition every year for the inspiring artists. The winner gets to bring their concept to life and showcase at India Design ID. This year too saw some magnificent concepts presented by the winners at the pavilion.
The Sunil Sethi Design Alliance, an initiative by Mr. Sunil Sethi is an effort to acknowledge Indian designs. Keeping up with the ‘Make In India’ campaign and promoting Indian art-style, Mr. Sunil Sethi’s alliance has spread wings ahead of the fashion industry to the home decor categories. And to promote the concept further the alliance in partnership with EDIDA too crowns ‘Designer of the Year’.
Be it our fashion industry or the home decor industry, inspirations can be tapped upon anywhere. You can learn more about this fabulous annual exhibition on http://indiadesignid.com/
