Of the many cities that I have had the opportunity to travel to and explore, the one that always seems to be calling to me is truly the Pink City of Rajasthan, i.e. Jaipur! A lot of Deja Vu takes place when I am here as I have grown to become so familiar with this wonderful city. And yet, every time, it seems that I also end up discovering something new altogether. This time on, I was lucky enough to witness Hilton’s brilliant hospitality in this beautiful and quaint city in the state of Rajasthan. The Property: This wonderful estate is situated in one of the best locations one can ask for in this city. A mere 20-minute drive from the international airport, I was honestly surprised at how fast I ended up reaching the hotel post landing. I am also extremely proud and humbled at the same time about the fact that the Hilton Jaipur has been given the title of “One of the 100 best business hotels in India” by CondeNast Traveller India itself, in the year 2017. The property is also near some major landmarks and monuments of the city like the Hawa Mahal, Albert Hall Museum, City Palace and the likes. It is also near the railway station which is only 5 minutes from the property during non-traffic hours. The Aura: The first thing you notice upon entering the hotel is the wide-open lobby. Done up in pastels and lit up beautifully, the lobby is like a breath of fresh air. The high ceiling and long windows and huge glass doors add to the brilliant illusion of openness. The lobby also has various seating arrangements that can easily accommodate many people at one time without making it feel congested. The rooms too are designed in a similar …

Think ‘Smokey Eyes’ is the trend of ‘Modern Times’? Well, let me rephrase it for you. Think Indian women have always and have only been capable of just excelling the art of kohl-manship? It’s time to take references from the Era gone by, because the trendsetters from as early as the 1940s till date have taken their eyeliner trends quite seriously. Presenting to you a list of our Famous Bollywood Actresses And Eyeliner Trends 1940-2016. 1940s Suraiya One of the first actresses and highest paid performer of the Indian cinema was Suraiya Jamaal Sheikh, popularly known as ‘Suraiya’. Not just on-screen, but Suraiya loved keeping her make up and fashion style on check at all times as well. 1940s was the era of femininity and minimalism, as far as makeup was concerned. But even in such times of limited beauty products, Suraiya managed to adorn ‘Soft Smokey’ eyeliner style with a prominent flicked eyeliner, smudged to perfection. Madhubala Hello Classic Bar! Bollywood’s very own Madonna, a.k.a. Madhubala was surely an enchantress. Her beauty is still praised about and her natural and muted make up swayed many a hearts away. No fuss Classic Bar eyeliner style was Madhubala’s all time go-show trend. A fine eyeline coating across the lash, slightly thickining up towards the edge. 1950s Meena Kumari The ‘Pakeeza’ actress was all about royalty, glitter and dramatic personal style. This not only reflected on her clothing, but the make up as well. If 1940s was all about minimalism, then 1950S was definitely a flip-side to the muted trends. Meena Kumari’s eyes spoke volumes with her Winged Eyeliner style stretched up till the edge of the brow. Waheeda Rehman The era also saw Waheeda Rehman Guide-ing the masses how to look less dramatic and still make a mesmerising statement. Playing a …
Continue readingI remember the days when managing long hair was a big task. Either keep it detangled with loads of coconut oil, or braid it the moment it dries out of shampoo. The very idea of leaving dry hair open was dreadful, remembering all the tough times that I had to go through; detangling my tresses and losing on many strands of it during the process. And then Livon Serum happened! Still remember the time when Livon was newly introduced to our troubled hair-lives and everyone could be seen talking about it. After hearing a lot about it from my cousins, I too got my hands on Livon and woah! My hair felt less distressed and suddenly I could act like those Bollywood divas, letting my hair flow in the flow of the breeze. Ever since then, I have become an ardent fan of Livon and have been using it (currently, the Moroccan oil serum) regularly to detangle my long tresses. With years passing by and the conditions of metropolitan cities that we live in, Livon too has seen evolvement; nurturing the current hair-care necessities. After their successful launch of Livon Moroccan Silk Serum, the brand has introduced yet another product, that stands distinct from the entire range. What’s new about the New Livon Serum? Livon has changed! It’s now the next gen Livon Serum with a new, ultra lightweight formulation. Designed for today’s women who do not believe in compromising on either hair beauty or hair health, this product gives you fabulous looking hair while protecting it from damage. Leading this change is Livon’s first brand ambassador, none other than the Queen of Bollywood and youth style icon, Kangna Ranaut. Have you seen the TVC yet? I am so kicked about the New Livon Serum and just can’t wait to review …

Now who would want to miss on a chance like that? Follow @AvonIndia on twitter for all the updates. —————————————————————— Lipsticks are prolly one of the first ‘beauty tools’ that girls sneak out from their mother’s makeup kit and try their hands on. The first sign of being a girl – the first sign of feeling beautiful! For those who get to the liking of something like lipsticks at an early age, know how to wear it for the rest of their lives. You give them any shade of a lip tint and they will for sure – rock it. Then their is a female lot like me, who can’t really get over being a girl and accept lipstick as something more than what mother’s wear for makeup. Long story short, this feature is all about trying experimenting with different shades of lipsticks that usually don’t even get considered pretty much. Usually, when a girl decides to buy lipsticks, her options only circle around the hues of red and pink. Not knowing that hues of brown, orange and even rum are totally rad for any occasion. And when the Avon birdies sent across a good stack of their Ultra Color Lipstick SPF 15 collection to me, I was in for a surprise treat! Quite lost about trying shades like Tangerine Tango and Rich Chocolate, I gave into this one with my fingers crossed. Results? I loved every single shade from this collection. Avon might be an international cosmetics brand. But they surely …
Continue readingA couple of days back I was invited by The Body Shop, India, to celebrate Earth Day. Being an intensely dedicated team, they make their events very special and well defined. After experiencing an amazing Christmas Call with them last year, I was thrilled to witness some more pampering by The Body Shop India. The motive behind the meet was to spread a word about their generous campaign called “Wood Positive”. The best part about this campaign is that they have already contributed to the world’s resources by protecting and planting over 55,000 trees in the Ecuadorian Andes and the highly endangered Atlantic Rainforest. As I stepped inside their Select Citywalk, Saket store, I saw a lot of TBS lovers chit chatting, getting pampered and learning about the products. Personally, I loved the hand massage (with lot’s of knowledge about the products they used), the Olive Oil hamper pack (Drool worthy), the earth friendly decor and yummilicious snacks! Take a look at my experience through my photographs…. Press Release : The Body Shop celebrated the first anniversary of the “Wood Positive” campaign on Earth Day. The campaign was officially launched in association with The World Land Trust on April 22, 2012, in a bid to help restore fragile habitats and regenerate land back to its true form, protecting the environment for the long-term.
Continue readingLifestyle : B:Blunt Vasant Vihar Launch Party
Who doesn’t know about B:Blunt? Well I truly admire Adhuna Akhtar for her chic styling, down to earth nature and peppy tune up her stilettos (although she wore flats to this launch). So when I received the invitation to attend the “LAUNCH PARTY OF B:BLUNT MINI, VASANT VIHAR, DELHI, INDIA” I was overwhelmed. They already have B:Blunt Salon and Blow Out Bar at G.K. 2, and this is the first time that they have launched B:Blunt Mini. How are these 3 different? B:Blunt …is our mother brand – a salon that holds everything we have to offer…and more! Come in and be pampered by the finest hairdressers, manicurists, beauticians and dermatologists that India has to offer… and more! But we know that it is not always easy to get to us from far and wide which is why we have created b:blunt mini. B:Blunt Mini …is exactly that – a smaller b:blunt – your neighbourhood beauty salon. All of the stylists in mini are all trained to a b:blunt level so the quality is what you have come to expect from us. Offering haircuts/colours/straightening/treatments, waxing, threading, facials… b:blunt may be small but it is perfectly formed! Blow Out Bar …a completely new concept to the world! A place for you to go to prepare yourself for a night out or a big event – have a blow-dry, throw in some hair extensions, get your nails and make-up done… bring yourself, bring your friends… this is going to be fun! The party was an absolute treat which consisted of the following… Great Ambience. The entire B:Blunt team wore B:Blunt Mini tees, and many actually suggested to do a mini Flash Mob. ROFL. Extreme Right (Red Lips) is chirpy Nicole ^_^ Absolutely happy B:Blunt Team. Front : Girish Sehgal Back : Brent Barber Adhuna …
