There is this one day every year, when we express our truck loads of love for our dear fathers. While some call it Father’s Day, Mamagoto like to promote it as the ‘Papagoto Day’. The day when fathers steal the limelight from the mothers. This year too, on June 21st, while half of India’s population (some universal territories too), woke up to the practice of #YogaDay, me and my family were more focused on dining in for some Asian flavours by the afternoon.
With the quirky hashtag #Papagoto buzzing on my tweet-feed, I knew that my family is going to love this setup, courtesy the Mamagoto team. For those who have been following my blog will know that I reviewed their winter menu few months back (Mamagoto Winter Special), this time I was more keen on munching on their summer menu.
As before, the menu wooed me away and my family couldn’t stop praising the authenticity of everything that we ordered. Right from the bar munchies, starters to the wholesome main course and to-die-for desserts; everything was out of its world and stood apart from the lot.
Take a look at how I added on to my gluttony (without guilt) last Sunday, as I treated my father and family to some Asian flavours.
Literally translated, it means ‘to play with food’. A Japanese social experiment of sorts, involving infants to use their senses to understand the textures and shape of food. Born out of this idea came our concept – to make Asian eating fun.
To make it experiential and social, to create a relaxed casual atmosphere where affordable and authentic food plus drinks combine with quirky décor.
Kalapalette’s Recommendation : Passion Fruit & Orange Cooler, Street Style Spicy Dumplings (we ordered Chicken), Honey Chicken with Bell Peppers, Chiang Mai Train Station Noodles (Chicken), Pan Fried Noodles With Singapore Style Chilli Sauce, Chocolate Walnut Fudge & Chunky Caramel Sponge Cake with Toffee Sauce.
