A couple of days back I was invited by Tata Motors and for the experience of a lifetime. Tata Motor’s introduced us to their latest launch – ZEST. Not just that, they even gave us the opportunity of going for a test drive, taking over the streets of GOA. Check out this travel video that I made of my experience there. Reason To Live Up The Adrenaline Rush – TATA Zest Experience

July 27, 2014

I remember the time when I first sat on a tricycle (for kids). The experience gave me, maybe, my first adrenaline rush. But what I wasn’t aware about was the #Speed that one gets to experience in their lives as they grow old. From the first scooter ride to the unreal aircraft ride, the andreline rush just keeps getting intense. And that feeling of flying, racing with the wind gets so intense that you crave for ‘some more’ moments. As a child, I had seen my dad ride a fiat. Even if that meant sitting on the back seat, with no airconditioner or no music on, the ride was no less than a trip to the amusement park. I used to make excuses (get late for school) and plead my dad to give me a Fiat ride…. just to live up the experienc again. Looking at him I used to look forward to turning 18, the legal age (in India) to ride a car. On my 18th birthday, I only wished to grab my dad’s car keys and enroll in a driving school. And I did! The first time I sat on the driver’s seat, that was the moment when I felt that I am no more a school kiddo. And that, I can finally be incharge of somethings in life. But… the experience was not that I had expected. The clutch-break-accelerator experience was confusing and disappointing. Unwanted breakdowns, sudden breaks, a scratch-worth of accident and some more low points drew my driving experience to a complete hault. With a broken heart I stepped back and returned to the backseat drama. THE ZEST CALL A few days back I saw my social media feed buzzing with #ZestUpYourExperience. My cousin Ila (The Flea Market Queen) buzzed me asking if I’m gonna be a …

PUMA El Rey Future – Review

May 31, 2013 gave me this amazing opportunity to own a pair of Puma El Rey shoes. I had always been into sports wear for two reasons, 1 being a basketball player AND 2nd, my foot size. When heels make a girl look sexy and feminine, a good pair of sports shoes makes a girl look hotter and smarter. Puma El Rey shoes are one of those uni-sexual creations that might just turn on your hip-hop side. When I wore them for the first time, I literally wanted to groove to a Jay Z track. The shoes : The best part about Puma El Rey shoes are that, they are very light weight, which makes it very comfortable for the wearer. Not only they are light, but the built it strong, which makes them wearable on a daily basis, all day all night. Since I received them in hot Delhi summers, I was wondering if I should wrap them up for winters, or try wearing them presently. Well I guess PUMA consists of Einsteins, because these shoes have perforated air circulation system, which let’s my feet breathe, even in this hot Delhi weather. Another added point to these Puma El Ray shoes is, that they are lace-less! You don’t need to worry about tying your laces all the time, which sucks for a person who is everyday on his/her heels, running errands and does not like dirtying the hands. The style : As far as the style is concerned, these shoes, apart from having a very sporty and stylish look, come in 3 types of color combinations. Grey-Black-White, Red-Black-White and Orange-Blue-White. I really wanted to lay my hands on the Orange-Blue-Whites, but was wondering if I will be able to wear them with maximum looks… so opted for the basic Red-Black-Blue color …

Lifestyle : The [V] Spot Cafe

February 12, 2013

I am a shameless foodie. Period! Many girls swear by weird diet plans, while I swear by being merry! So when I saw Blogadda’s offer of reviewing “The [V] Spot Cafe + Bar”, I hit the APPLY button on the blink of my eyes…. *pure evil* So I visited their Saket, Delhi outlet last Friday night with my folks. Oh Boy! I miss those quirky [V] moments from the television. But it all came back to me when I stepped into this fun Cafe + Bar. A warm welcome from The [V] Spot Cafe + Bar team seemed promising (and it was!). Doing an investigation before hand (Yes I am 007!) about other review experiences, I came to know that at a time you can only redeem one voucher (per table rule). Flipping my hair with a *clever grin* I suggested that me and my folks occupy two tables and we get to redeem the two vouchers of R.s.2000/- which I received from… MISSION POSSIBLE! (Bwahahahahaha) Being pure non-vegetarians we didn’t want to waste our time on souplings (weaklings) and ordered starters. Check out our menu and experience through mouth watering images!! Mamma Mia : Hugely popular Italian chicken snack, dredged in secret flour and fried to golden perfection. Highly recommend for chicken lovers. It does remind you of KFC but trust me… this is way better than KFC chicken when it comes to quality.  Piri Piri Pizza and Butter Chicken Pizza: Italian thin crust pizzas with very interesting Indian toppings. For those who can have Butter chicken everywhere and anywhere, try the Butter Chicken Pizza. Piri Piri Pizza on the other hand could not provoke my taste buds. There was nothing piri piri about it. Chikibum bum : Spinach and cheese stuffed chicken with mushroom cream sause and fresh pasta. Called the speciality of this …

Beauty : Sexy Back – A No Show!

January 27, 2013

‘I wish I had opted for my hair removal!’ ( by Gillette Satin Care way!) What is the biggest turn off? When you invest months of devoted time for that perfect one day, and everything just falls apart? Well I had such a moment which not only ruined a memorable day for me, but opened my eyes to avoid such disasters in future. WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENED? It was my best friends wedding, the one with whom I had shared kindergarten, schooling and tuitions. We had done a lot of day dreaming during school life, giggling and excited to grow up to live up that moment! Being the bridesmaid I got myself a semi backless lehenga made. Did religious rounds of all the shopping hubs of Delhi to perfect the look in every possible manner. And the D Day arrived. Excited as I can get, could not wait to flaunt that “sexy back”, not to forget I sweated hard in Aerobics classes to get that perfect back! THE DISASTER REASON : I was all set when the biggest mistake of my life happened following this conversation I had with a mutual friend : Friend : So, you wearing a semi-backless lehenga to her wedding? Me : Yeah! *Doing a joyful dance in my head* Friend : Hope you have done the necessary to get that sexy back right! Me : Wdya mean? (puzzled me) Friend : Well you know, get a wax done to remove any hair followed by moisturizing massage. Me : OMG! I quickly called up my local boutique and got the appointment for a back waxing treatment. THE DISASTER! The painful procedure of removing hair by waxing was surely troublesome, but ANYTHING for that perfect look! In my quick decision consciousness I forgot that there is something called “patch test” before …

Book Review – Pink or Black 2 by Tishaa

January 24, 2013

A while back Blogadda sent across this teenage drama novel for review purpose. Lots of pink, black and white on the cover page surely screams “Teenage Puppy Love/Teen Issues”. What does the back cover say? Tiana’s school year has just started and looks bleak already. Her boyfriend is concerned they ‘don’t connect anymore’, her best friends are being super nasty, her lunch group has been taken over by newcomers, and the final nail in the coffin : a blast from the past, whom she believed she had left behind forever, has moved to Hill View High. Will anything go right for Tiana as she juggles friends old and new, tries to stay in her teacher’s good books, and, most importantly, attempts to keep all the boys at bay while she figures out her own feelings? Find out in this funny yet moving sequel to the bestselling Pink or Black, as Tishaa brings alive all the high drama at high school with wit and understanding. My reading experience.. The story revolves around a teenage rich girl Tiana, who belongs to a reputed boarding school, has the hot dudes of the school falling in love with her, has a good reputation with teachers and belongs to the most famous group of the school. However this perfect life is not so perfect as the story unleashes high teenage drama in high school. From the beginning of the story I could think of a lot of Bollywood and Hollywood movies to relate this novel with. From Kuch Kuch Hota hai, Student of the Year to High School Musical. However this did not help me create an imaginary visualization of the whole scenario, since the characters and scene arrangement just does not look like an Indian boarding school scene to me. It comes as a strong contrast …

Book Review – The Green Room by Wendell Rodricks

November 4, 2012 A week back Blogadda sent me over this amazing autobiography by the well known designer Wendell Rodricks for review purposes. The first thing I saw was the cover; Malaika Arora Khan calling it a “show time”. What does the back cover say? No one belongs here except beautiful mannequins, make-up and hair armies, dressers culled from local fashion schools and the designer’s team. Should a hapless tailor, steam-press man or technician cross the hallowed threshold of the green room, he is greeted with flashing, angry kohled eyes and half – naked models clutching their breasts and shrieking in unison: ‘Get out, get out! What the hell is going on? Who the fuck is this guy? Bahar jao! Get out!’ The shocked man, head at navel level of the six-foot divas, looks like a rabbit caught in a Guantanamo Bay strobe. Makes me think.. Is this 356 pages thick book all about “The green room”? Certainly not! What is it about? I will call it a parallel walk through the life of Wendell Rodricks and journey of Indian fashion from late 20’s to the present. A journey of middle class boy born to Goan parents, who has seen the extremes; from tasting the village life in Goa, to struggling a life from Mumbai chawls to clinking champagnes with rich and famous. His life is truly an inspiration to those, who give up in life so easily. Hard work, patience and determination is what Wendell Rodricks has always lived with as he started off as a chef in Oman but god had other plans for him . He recalls the time when hope was the only hope, and the people surrounding him. The year of 1992 when India saw angry mobs of people distinguished in the name of Allah and Ram …
