Iraya – Kumkumadi Balm

February 13, 2015

In today’s life, looking fair is the racist notion. What really should be the goal is, to look blemish free and maintain a natural glow. Today’s crappy ‘fairness’ solutions claim to give you a fair skin in a week’s magic. The truth be told, it’s all but nonsense and a big fat lie! Our Ayurvedic masters on the other hand knew exactly what the truth is all about and eradicated the very preaching of a non-existent fairness elixir. Being a non-racist (thank you for that), these Ayurveda preachers instead created a solution that promised blemish free, healthy-glowing skin. The same solution was brought down over the years and is now being produced by the name of ‘Kumkumadi’.  While many beauty brands claim to be producing authentic Kumkumadi solutions, only a few live up to providing expected results. One of those pure-produce brands is Iraya, who offer Kumkumadi range of products with elan! Now, Delhi winters are all about dry, dull and severely dehydrated skin. Having a combination skin, I often find it difficult to settle with face-creams to keep up with the ever changing Delhi weather and maintaining the natural look of my face. With my facial skin crying out for some replenishment and hydration, I followed up with Kumkumadi Balm by Iraya this winter season. Balm, for your face might seem like a tricky sticky idea, but trust me; if you live in a city like Delhi, you need more than just a moisturizer to keep your skin soft and healthy over the seasonal course. Not to forget, Iraya does offer a gel-based Kumkumadi product for summers as well. How about that?! Kumkumadi Balm Prescribed in Ayurveda as a ‘Miraculous Elixir’ for the skin, this is an absolute classic! This revered formulation contains pure Saffron and 10 precious Ayurvedic …

Kama Ayurveda – Rose Jasmine Face Cleanser

August 26, 2014

Guess I have developed some kind of obsession for rose fragrance. Everywhere I look, it is either Lavender or Rose. While most of the skin care & beauty products have a strong whiff of rose fragrance in them, Kama Ayurveda believes in delivering a more soothing effects otherwise. Rose Jasmine Face Cleanser by Kama Ayurveda is one such product. I have been using this one for over a month now and feel it’s apt for humid-hot monsoon season.  My Experience A very mild cleanser that comes in a convenient pump dispenser bottle. It doesn’t lather much, but that is what vouches for its organic authenticity. Nevertheless, it does clean up your face, removes the makeup and gives a fresh feel to your skin. The fragrance is subtle, giving off a feel good factor. Likes Pump Dispenser Packaging Cleanses as it claims Rose & Jasmine concoction Leaves the skin moisturized Dislikes Runny consistency 2 pumps required for a single usage. How I Use It? Every morning I simply take the cleanser on my finger tips, massage all over my face and wash it off. I follow the cleansing with Kama Ayurveda’s Pure Mogra Water for rejuvenation.  Rating Value for Money : 3.5/5 Quality : 5/5 Quantity : 4.5/5 Results : 5/5 Usage : 1 months approx. INNISFREE – Korean Beauty Secrets now in India

November 21, 2013

Last weekend, I was invited for a hand care ritual by the recently launched Korean brand called ‘Innisfree’. The beauty enthusiasts who belong to Delhi, are already familiar with it’s presence. Centrally located in one of the shopping hubs of Delhi, Innisfree is making it’s presence felt in this already blooming giant market of beauty and body brands. Launched in 2000 as Amore Pacific’s first eco-friendly brand, Innisfree Korea’s claims to be a naturalism beauty brand. Having it’s wings spread overseas, Innisfree currently operates 800 stores including South Korea, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and India. Growing and producing products from the world famous Jeju islands, this brand guarantees effective skin and beauty care with the wholesome goodness of nature. And I was to about to experience just that! When I stepped inside the store, I was taken on a store tour, and was introduced to a wide collection of beauty and skin range. The interesting part about these collections was that they were way beyond the usual fruits, vegetables and plants oriented ranges that we get to see in other brands. Olives, Red Wine, Jeju Green Tea and Jeju Volcanic Pore are some of the ingredients that have been designed keeping in mind the different skin types. The ‘Hand Ritual‘ consisted of a very surprisingly gentle exfoliation regime with just a drop of a serum, which not only scrubbed off the impurities and dead skin cells, but it resulted in a lighter skin tone as well. I could actually see the difference in both of my hands. This was followed by a very relaxing hand massage with a moisturizer which suits the current state of your skin. Out of the 3 choices from normal – dry – extremely dry, I chose the one to cure ‘dryness’, to deal with …

Earth Day Celebrations with The Body Shop India

May 12, 2013

A couple of days back I was invited by The Body Shop, India, to celebrate Earth Day. Being an intensely dedicated team, they make their events very special and well defined. After experiencing an amazing Christmas Call with them last year, I was thrilled to witness some more pampering by The Body Shop India. The motive behind the meet was to spread a word about their generous campaign called “Wood Positive”. The best part about this campaign is that they have already contributed to the world’s resources by protecting and planting over 55,000 trees in the Ecuadorian Andes and the highly endangered Atlantic Rainforest. As I stepped inside their Select Citywalk, Saket store, I saw a lot of TBS lovers chit chatting, getting pampered and learning about the products. Personally, I loved the hand massage (with lot’s of knowledge about the products they used), the Olive Oil hamper pack (Drool worthy), the earth friendly decor and yummilicious snacks! Take a look at my experience through my photographs…. Press Release :  The Body Shop celebrated the first anniversary of the “Wood Positive” campaign on Earth Day. The campaign was officially launched in association with The World Land Trust on April 22, 2012, in a bid to help restore fragile habitats and regenerate land back to its true form, protecting the environment for the long-term.
