On the evening of 12th Oct, as I was on my way back home from an exhausting field trip getting any calls or messages was the last thing I wished for. Suddenly my phone vibrated and surprisingly I was overjoyed to see what it entailed. It was a reminder cum notification from my Flipkart mobile application about the Flipkart Big Billion Days sale, which was to begin the next day! This was the second edition of last year’s Big Billion Day though spread over five days, this time starting the roller coaster ride from 13th Oct to 17th Oct 2015. We all must agree that getting discounts is the prerogative of EVERY shopper like me. And this blockbuster of a sale offered incredible offers and discounts on over 70 product categories to us. I was so thrilled from the moment I had got the reminder that I forgot all about my day long fatigue and waited up till midnight for the sale to kick start, with my shopping-list in hand! This sale was restricted to Flipkart’s mobile application. It is a great app which makes it easy to maneuver here and there with one click, it is handy, it even offers an option to ‘shake’ the phone and interact with our peer in a separate box, yet I wish they had made the sale available on the website as well; maybe because I still love the mouse plus we can multitask and open as many tabs of different categories. But the discounts were amazing which made up for my grievances. I came across all the products that I was looking for carrying massive discounts.
