Androgyny with Suit Fullstop

February 17, 2017

I am always fascinated by the structured make of a double-breasted ebony tuxedo. What really makes and breaks a formal suit is its stitch and fit. If the crease is too fitted or the stitch too elaborately done, it gives off the mannerism a formal suit demands, making the wearer look unfit and out of form. I might be a female, but I am one of those females who absolutely adorn befriending the Androgyny ways of style. Speaking about which, I have tried many a times to meet a brand or boutique that can magnify the feminine silhouette of me, while keeping up with the manly element of a tuxedo. Until now, I have been doped by many local boutiques who have failed in producing a suit that matches my expectations. Suit Fullstop is an e-commerce label that excels in every aspect of suiting up. Although it is a men’s trendsetting brand, the team did listen to my request on stitching up a tuxedo that really reflects my identity and gives me a great fit. So in case you’ve been wondering how an e-commerce boutique match your requirement of a designer formal suit, then you’ll be overwhelmed to know that the label does a fantastic job in delivering what we ask for. Worth mentioning that they have some physical stores in the country, established, as well! And to make the experience more unique and personal, Suit Fullstop offers ready-to-wear as well as customised formal suits to its customers. How does it work? Not only do they offer altering post delivery, their returns are easy to follow as well. But given their dedication towards delivering customisation that is up to the mark, their sure are any chances of needing any of the edits. Did I mention that they offer ‘Renting’ facility …

Powdered Formal | SUE MUE

May 10, 2016

Being geeky and chic is no rocket science. While I have heard my friends cribbing over wearing shades of grey under the ‘formals’ category, I’d like to differ from the module that many of us follow for a daily routine check. Of course many MNC’s tend to have strict colour codes to be worn to work (my sincere sympathy with you), others who happen to have the liberty of playing around with the colour palettes yet maintain a formal silhouette can work wonders with their ‘serious look’.

Bohemian Rhapsody in Mumbai – OOTD

March 15, 2016

If you happen to be in Mumbai during the ‘winter season’ (and you belong to a colder region like Delhi) then all you need to do on your visit is soak up the warmth of the sun, put on some anti-tan lotion and feel boho! That’s exactly what I did in the month of January, when I was flown down to Mumbai to attend the launch of OPPO F1 smartphone. Post the media event, I took a mini break to experience the hospitality of The Resort and to bask in the glory of a beautiful beach. The Resort is situated in front of the Aksa Beach, which is quaint and much cleaner as opposed to the super-crowded beach life of Southern Mumbai (note : Juhu Beach & Bandstand). Now beachwear in India is a little different from the western world. We don’t get to flaunt a bikini (Mumbai is not eligible for even a sarong) and so the beachwear comes down to the breezy silhouettes in light fabrics. Forever21 in India is filled with a section that only speaks about bohemian flavours. Right from the earthy colour palette, fringe décors to the tribal embroidery and prints; one can find a variety of summer-friendly designs at F21. This Georgette midi dress in crisp white with minimal thread work is apt to keep the sweat away and makes one feel at leisure. So to keep up with my Bohemian spirit, I thought of doing an OOTD post and pose for the camera right on the Aksa Beach. Usually I either wrap up my hair in a bun, but for this added boho flavour, I decided to braid down my tresses in fine gypsy style. Now the look works apt in case you have long tresses, a beach to hit and don’t want the …

OOTD : Color Party Semi-Formal Look

April 17, 2015

While mix-matching your outfit in the right modish manner matters a lot, some add-on elements of  style equally put in the extra punch to bring an OOTD to life. Be it for a day to day wear or some selective date-meets, elements as basic as a bag need special attention. While somehow we still neglect these important accessories and then quite wonder what went wrong! Imagine your work wear consists of a mundane white blouse – denim jeans combo and you yet try to achieve some kind of style? How about we add on a flattering sling bag or laptop bag to go with it? Toss those boring black laptop sleeves and give it a quirky uplift. Of course, for a daily work wear routine we need to maintain a sense of sophistication and professionalism. In such scenarios, the likes of Holii brands come in handy (and vogue)! For a blogger’s profile, their ain’t no boundaries on a meeting dress-code, but surely we need to play by the professionalism rules; and yet maintain our ‘fashionable’ image in front of the world. Always juggling between a hand bag to a sling to a clutch, I am quite not able to commit on one bag to go with at the meetings. So this post is dedicated to that one style of bag, that’s all what we need, to keep it stylish and yet formal. Presenting to you, the Holii Laptop Bag. SUMMER TEMPTATIONS Climb the fashion ladder a little higher this summer with an exclusive style statement with the new Holii bags! Shake off the cold with Holii’s new summer collection, a range of bags crafted to match the glamour of your sunny days out in the city. Have the spotlights focused on you with the new Magnolia range which will keep …

Noir Mode Sleek – Benetton Style

December 22, 2014

What are you planning to wear for the New Year’s eve party? The same old LBD or that shimmer sequence pallazo-crop top number? It all seems fair but only if we are talking about the parties down southern India and the likes. Because Delhi winters are in no mood of gifting us any relief from the chills.  As the NY15 is right round the corner, it will be a task to mix-match prints, colors and silhouettes on such a short notice. Your safest bet? Dig in the old ways! A.k.a. monochrome style. Nope, not talking about the LDB. Let’s stretch it up till the ankles and call dibs on a matchy white crop jacket, shall we? One of the most comfy yet classy outfits that I wore during the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Summer Spring 2015 (and planning to wear for the New Year’s too) was a solid combination of black & white. Take a look!  Earrings – Zotiqq How I wore it for Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week? Knits Love : French Connection AW’14 Collection

November 13, 2014

That time of the year when your ‘Eau De Parfum’ will be replaced by dollops of ‘Body Butter’. True story, but it’s just not the grease for the skin, but something to keep the skin warm too that’ll save us from the harsh winters. Talk about staying warm and staying stylish too, we have French Connection making sure that all stays in vogue this Autumn Winter’14. This season they are spreading some old-school ‘Knit Love’.  From printed jumpers, cropped party cardigans to wool-blend Vhari knits and embellished woolens; French Connection has taken the knit-wear to a whole new level. Check out some of the knits that I personally loved trying out.  Glitter Jitter Knits Cool and casual with a touch of sparkle, this Glitter Jitter Knit offers a glam alternative for cool winter evenings. Embelished jumper Cotton-wool blend long sleeves with round neck.  Stingray Sparkle Forget about solid colors, the new season is all about printed knits and this jumper’s abstract knit fits the bill perfectly.   Autumn Vhari Dress smart for cooler climes without Autumn Vhari Knit. Pair with printed leggings and a clutch for the day. Velma Knits The slouchy jumper gets a glamorous revamp, thanks to an eye-catching faux pearl trim. Wear Velma with boyfriend jeans for luxe downtime dressing. Doe Deer Throw the wool-blend Doe Deer jumper on with jeans for a casual and cosy cold-weather look. Not just knits, but French Connection’s AW’14 also showcases an array of Jackets & Coats. WOMEN’S WEAR The Autumn Winter 2014 collection looks towards Eastern influences depicting the contrast in Russian wealth, the grandeur of the Tsar regime set against the bleak landscapes of Siberia. A rich colour palette of dove grey, celestial blue and berry punch dominate the collection, modernized through paisley and digitized floral prints and adapted on …
