Beautiful Is Powerful By Khanna Jewellers

March 22, 2016

The one thing that I absolutely love about the marriage season is getting dressed up! With the kind of indo-western influence that has weaved up in our traditional ways of ‘ethnic dressing’ the game has anted up many folds. Right from wrapping up a dhoti-saree ensemble to bringing in the vintage Sabyasachi silhouettes, I just can’t get enough of experimenting with the apparel traditions for every family function. Now experimentation can be a big hit or a faux-pas, but one element of the entire dressing game keeps everything in sanity – The Jewels. For my daily dress up, I prefer keeping a minimalist approach and opt for jewels that are sublime in nature. But when it comes to dressing up for a family gathering, I just can’t do without making a statement. Even in that case, my preference is wearing something which is exclusive, rich in elements and yet makes me look young and fresh! Khanna Jewellers have come up with an exclusive range of royal ornaments that tend to make you look like a contemporary queen. If you too follow the likes of Sonam Kapoor (like me) and are in awe of how flawlessly she carries traditional jewels in a refreshingly modern avatar, then you are definitely going to fall for this range of jewels by Khanna Jewelers. My Experience When I got a chance to visit their store at South Extension, Delhi and try out some of their signature designs; I was definitely left spellbound by the beauty of the craftsmanship and the whole concept ideation upon each piece of the jewel. One can definitely feel more beautiful and powerful by simply adorning one of their Polki necklaces. What I really loved about the collection is its sophisticated design. Each peace emphasizes on the placement of the precious …

Zotiqq Subscription Box Review (August)

August 23, 2015

Lately, I have been investing in a lot of jewellery. Mostly eyeing on what’s on discount, I’ve been wandering on e-commerce webbies and surfing through the fashion streets of Delhi. For some this might seem like an easy-peasy, but collecting the right accessories that will please your personal style and will be up with the current trends is a cray task. Not to forget the array of baubles collection we review on a long panel and get confused as what to try and what to buy. Zotiqq doing everything *exotic* has ventured into easing out this dilemma for us. Not only are they pulling out best of their jewels to fit the monthly trends, but are also offering a subscription box which is loaded with jewels worth double the amount of what you are paying! Check out their entire range of subscription boxes, which have been designed to please the new-customers as well as their regular fans. – Zotiqq Subscription Box Link If you remember, I introduced Zotiqq on my blog with a few details about what kind of jewellery they offer. If you haven’t, go check it out HERE. This time around, I am featuring their ‘Fashionista Box’ which comes with a bonus voucher of Four Fountain Spa. Yay! Fell in love with these chandelier earrings the moment I unwrapped my subs box. These are not only apt to brighten up even a simple black dress, but their light weight makes it more wearable for longer hours. I am absolutely floored by the beauty of these and am loving wearing them for both regular parties and traditional gatherings. This necklace is a pure pastel bliss. The subtle hues of pink all over makes it the perfect party-mood statement piece. Wear it with a regular dress or tuck it in under your …

Pretty Please Me – Jewellery Organizer Review

August 18, 2015

Pretty things please us all. As much as we girls love our dazzling baubles, the idea of staging them beautifully in and around our room excites us too. Although, most of the times, we end up wrapping them up in bubble wraps and closing them inside a box or two. If you talk about me, I actually have incidences of panicking over not having enough statement pieces to wear to some regular parties and absolutely forget about the treasure box that is lying under piles of other bauble managed cubicles in a corner. And not to forget the frustration of finding the long neck pieces wrapped up around each other with a ‘forever-together’ mission to let go. Argh! Well, many of us understand these mini troubles of keeping up with our jewellery collection, hence, a fashionable Delhiite has come up with an array of pretty jewellery managers, that not only make things right and place things strategically; but also look equally flattering resting in our rooms or powder-tables. Presenting to you ‘Pretty Please Me’ by Sakshi Monga. I have already been acquainted with Pretty Please Me’s range of organizers, since she has a pretty boutique in the busy shopping hub of Select Citywalk, Saket (Delhi). Although, it was just recently, that I got a haul-hold on two of their masterpieces. Lipstick Organizer Like the name suggests, this one is meant for the ladies who obsess over lip-stainers. Available in 2 other colours, the lipstick holder has been cleverly designed with elevated rows of lipstick stands, making it easier to pull out the one you like; without disturbing the rest of the lot. I also like how each one of the lipsticks get to stay in the spotlight, with no scope of clumsiness or unwanted line-up. Jewellery Hanger Thank god for this one! I …

Swarovski Elements Design Contest

April 29, 2013

A few days back I was invited to be *bling-struck* by the Swarovski team. Showcasing a very compulsive collection of mixed brainstorming by various artists and jewellery labels, Swarovski organized a competition nation wide called Swarovski Elements Design Contest in association with FDCI and EPCH.  The challenge was to create jewellery with Swarovski elements in the most innovative manner. The choice of jewellery and elements was completely left wide open for the participants. The top shortlisted creations were displayed at Swarovski office in Gurgaon. The celebrated jury consists of Tarun Tahiliani, Sunil Sethi and Gaurav Gupta, who will be declaring the results in the next few weeks. Check out some of the creations I personally loved from the displayed collection.  A lot has been derived from these Swarovski elements, beyond the traditionalism which Indian clients look out for, a dynamic brainstorming and not even one creation had similarities with any other. As per me the tribal style head/ear gear should win the competition OR the cosmo-inspired bangle set. Let’s see who wins.
