AN ODE TO THE BREAK UP!

February 13, 2014

The season of LOVE is here. For those who are madly in love are busy planning out a memorable day (as if the other 364 days of the year ban you from such a feeling), and for those who are single are always questioning WHEN and HOW? Well, amidst all this, we forget to live the life that we have. Breakup can be a terrible experience, but it is also the end to one sad tunnel, and the beginning to a new chapter of your life. This post is dedicated to all those who have had a breakup in life. It is just a part of your amazing life, don’t ruin your moments over something which is very small, rather look up to something that will bring a smile on your face. SS’13 : Lacoste RTW – Prints on Prints & Color Blocking

February 28, 2013

Keep Accessories to a minimum and let the print shine… GET GRAPHIC! Lacoste true to its sportswear-ship revisited the signature style with elan this New York fashion week. Filipe Oliveira Baptista revisited the 80 years old archives of Lacoste productions to bring alive its signature iconic elements. Tennis balls, rackets and courts, crocodiles, an umpire’s chair and a pattern of folded polos which were printed in loops and repeated in abstract patters on shirts, pants and parkas. This print on print infusion in shades of pop orange, cobalt blue and ivory saw peter pan collars, matching accessories, Harrington jackets and summer trench coats to accomplish the print on print look. Sporty Color-Blocked Chic The creative print on print addition did not let the other signature sportswear style take a back seat. The runway also saw polo shirts, waffle-textured blazers, sports dresses and casual chic. Although this collection too had an interesting trend to spot. In solid colors of sunrise orange, grey  indigo,  beige, monochromes and yellow; the palette was mismatched in various color blocked combos. The color blocking saw abstract patterns on sports dresses with a sleek silhouette to compliment the female frame. For men the look was kept casual, summer blessed and ranged from board-shorts to well fitted denims. Stay tuned for some more SS’13! 😉
